My big kids are at circus camp all week (I am super jealous, I want to go to circus camp!) and it’s clearly really hard work. I sent one with a 20oz and one with a 32oz Gatorade as their lunch drinks, expecting that they’d have half today and half tomorrow, since they sometimes don’t even finish the milk I usually send for school lunch—but they apparently drank all of them, plus (reportedly) 40+oz of water each!
I only *had* those two Gatorades, since it’s not a regular pantry staple here, and grocery day is tomorrow, so I needed a new plan.
Homemade Cranberry-Lemon Gatorade
In a 32 oz sports bottle:
- 1 oz pure cranberry juice
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 2Tbsp cane sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
Combine and fill the rest of the bottle with water. Shake well and chill.
